Beauty
Aftershave
Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon Aloe Vera Gel
- 3 tablespoons Witch Hazel
- 5 drops Balsam Fir
Container: Empty 1oz glass jar
DIY: Combine all ingredients in your container and shake well.
To Use: Apply small amount after shaving. Mix well before using.
Deodorant
Ingredients:
- 1/3 cup coconut oil
- 1/4 cup baking soda
- 1/4 cup arrowroot
- 4 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 7 drops each of Armor, Lavender, and Cleanse essential oils
Container: Empty 8oz glass jar with lid
DIY:
- Mix all ingredients together in a medium bowl.
- Pour into your container.
- Put in the refrigerator for 30 minutes or more to set.
- Store in a cool, dark place.
To Use: Scoop out small amount and apply to underarms. No more stinky!
Facial Cleansing Towelettes
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup distilled water
- 1/4 cup witch hazel
- 5 drops Lavender essential oil
- 5 drops Tea tree essential oil
- several reusable rags of cotton knit cloth (tee shirt material)
Container: Empty 1 pint glass jar with lid (ex: wide mouth mason jar)
DIY:
- Cut rags into 4"x4" or 5"x5" squares
- Place squares in a glass jar with lid
- In a bowl, mix all liquid ingredients
- Pour this mixture over the squares in the glass jar
- Shake to mix and keep lid tightly closed
To Use: For a quick facial cleaning, use one square to clean face. Avoid eyes.
Facial Toner
Ingredients:
- ½ cup distilled water
- 2 tablespoons Witch Hazel
- 5 drops Grapefruit essential oil
Container: Empty 4-8oz glass container
DIY: Combine all ingredients in your container. Shake well.
To Use: Apply to face after washing using a clean cotton ball.
*Recommended to do this only at night because grapefruit oil is photosensitive!
Lip Balm
Ingredients:
- 3 Tbsp coconut oil
- 2 Tbsp beeswax (grated or pellets)
- 1/2 Tbsp sweet almond oil or sunflower oil (you can also use cocoa butter)
- 10 drops essential oil of your choice.
Container: Chapstick tubes (or small 1-2oz jars) plus a dropper for transferring mixture.
DIY:
- Fill a sauce pan about half way with water.
- Combine first three ingredients in a glass mason jar and set inside that pan. (Do not let the water from the pan get into the mason jar)
- Heat the pan and stir the ingredients until they are just melted, but not boiling.
- Remove from heat and add your choice of essential oils.
- Stir again and use dropper to fill chapstick tubes or containers of your choice. Usually makes 12 or more tubes. If the lip balm is not as firm as you would like, you can add more beeswax next time around.
To Use: Apply to your very luscious lips with love. ;-)
Lotion Bars
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup coconut oil
- 1/2 cup beeswax
- 1/2 cup shea butter
- 1/8 tsp of vitamin E oil (you only need a small amount)
- 30 drops of Lavender or your favorite essential oil
DIY:
- Combine all ingredients (except essential oil) in a double boiler.
- Bring the water to a boil. Stir the ingredients constantly until they are melted completely.
- Remove the mixture from heat and add the essential oil.
- Stir until the oils are blended with the mixture.
- Pour mixture into your molds or casserole dish to cool completely before removing from the molds.
- After the bars have cooled, remove them. They are ready to use!
*Makes about 4-6 lotion bars.
No Soap Face Wash
Ingredients:
- 1 cup coconut oil
- 1 cup baking soda
- 20 drops Lavender essential oil
Container: 16oz glass jar
DIY:
- Mix all ingredients together in a medium bowl.
- After stirring thoroughly, transfer to your glass jar.
To use: Rub on face (avoiding eyes). Wipe off with a dry cloth. Then wipe again with warm, damp cloth.
Relaxing Bath Salts
Ingredients:
- 1 cup epsom salt
- 3-5 drops of Lavender or Resting essential oil
Container: Empty 8oz jar with lid
DIY: Stir ingredients together in a medium bowl. Store in glass jar.
To Use: Add 1-2 tablespoons to your bath water. Relax and enjoy!
Sugar Scrub
Ingredients:
- 2 ½ cups granulated sugar
- ¼ cup carrier oil (your choice)
- 15 drops grapefruit essential oil
Container: Empty 1 quart glass jar
DIY: Combine all ingredients in your jar and mix well.
To Use: Exfoliate as needed: lips, hands, feet, etc.
Wrinkle Remover
Ingredients:
- 10 drops patchouli essential oil
- 10 drops myrrh essential oil
- 5 drops geranium essential oil
- 1 oz carrier oil of choice (ex: sweet almond, jojoba, avocado, etc.)
Container: Empty 1 oz glass spray bottle
DIY: Combine all ingredients in your bottle and mix well.
To Use: Cleanse face and then apply (avoiding the eyes). Especially good to apply liberally before bed.
*Good results with this require consistency in daily application.

Energy Blend
Ingredients:
- Lavender essential oil
- Grapefruit essential oil
- Coriander essential oil
Container: Empty essential oil bottle (5-15ml size)
DIY: Combine equal amounts of each oil. Shake well.
To Use: Diffuse or mix 6 drops with epsom or bath salts and enjoy in a warm bath.
Migraine Relief Blend
Ingredients:
- 10 drops Basil essential oil
- 10 drops Comfort essential oil blend
- 5 drops Copaiba essential oil
- 2 ½ tsp carrier oil of choice
Container: Empty 10ml roll-on bottle
DIY: Combine all ingredients in roll-on bottle. Shake well.
To Use: Apply to area of concern as needed for headache/pain relief.
Pain Buster
Ingredients:
- 1 drop Helichrysum
- 1 drop Balsam fir
- 1 drop Copaiba
- 1 drop Frankincense
DIY:
Mix with 1/2 tsp carrier oil and apply topically.
Vanish Varicose & Spider Veins Blend
Ingredients:
- 10 drops Helichrysum (helps dissolve coagulated blood in tissue around vein)
- 15 drops Cypress (strengthens the capillary walls)
- 10 drops Geranium
- 5 drops Lemon
- Enough carrier oil of choice to fill the bottle
Container: Empty 10ml roll-on bottle
DIY: Combine all ingredients in roll-on bottle. Shake well.
To Use: Gently apply two times a day ABOVE the area of concern.

All-Purpose Spray Cleaner
Ingredients:
- 20 drops Armor Essential Oil Blend
- 10 drops Lavender essential oil
- 1 Tablespoon Castile Soap
- Distilled Water
OR
- 10 drops Lavender essential oil
- 20 drops Cleanse Essential Oil Blend
- 1 Tablespoon Castile Soap
- Distilled Water
Container: Empty 16oz spray bottle
DIY: Add essential oils and Castile soap to your spray bottle. Then fill with distilled water. Shake before each use.
*These essential oils clean, kill bacteria and freshen, deodorize and disinfect the air while cleaning work areas, cupboards, bathroom fixtures, sinks, tiles, woodwork, carpets and more.
Automatic Dishwasher Powder
Ingredients:
- 3 cups washing soda
- 1 cup baking soda
- 20 drops Lemon
Container: Empty 1 quart container (ex: wide mouth mason jar)
DIY: Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and mix essential oil in with a spoon. Store in a sealed container.
To use: Add about 2 tablespoons to the soap compartment of your dishwasher.
*White vinegar is an excellent rinse aide.
Carpet Shampoo
Ingredients:
- 3 cups water
- ¾ cup liquid castile soap
- 10 drops peppermint essential oil
Container: Empty 1 quart container (ex: wide mouth mason jar)
DIY: Mix all ingredients in a blender
To Use: Rub foam into soiled areas with a damp sponge. Let dry thoroughly, then vacuum.
Deodorizing Linen Spray
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup distilled water
- 1/8 tsp rubbing alcohol
- 5 drops distilled white vinegar
- 5 drops Lavender essential oil
- 5 drops Lemongrass essential oil
Container: Empty 8z spray bottle
DIY: Mix all ingredients together in spray bottle. Shake well before use.
Dish Soap
Ingredients:
- 22 oz. bottle of liquid Castile Soap
- 8 drops Lemon essential oil
- 4 drops Lavender essential oil
DIY: Combine all ingredients in the soap bottle and shake well.
To Use: Add 1 to 2 tablespoons of liquid soap mixture to dishwater and wash as usual.
*For very greasy dishes, add ½ cup vinegar and extra citrus oils.
Fall Fragrance
- 3 drops Orange essential oil
- 2 drops Cinnamon essential oil
- 1 drops Clove essential oil
- 1 drop Frankincense essential oil
To Use: Add to diffuser according to diffuser instructions and enjoy!

Floor Cleaner
Ingredients:
- ¼ cup White Vinegar
- 5-10 drops Lemon, Tea Tree or Cleanse blend
DIY: Add all ingredients to a bucket of water and stir.
Glass Cleaner
Ingredients:
- 1 ½ cups Vinegar
- ½ cup Distilled Water
- 8 drops Lemon essential oil
Container: Empty 16oz spray bottle
DIY: Combine all ingredients in a spray bottle and shake well before use.
To Use: Spray solution onto mirror and wipe with a dry cloth.
*Some commercial window cleaners contain butyl cello solve -- a toxic ingredient that is not listed on the labels. This is a safe alternative.
Laundry Soap
Ingredients:
- 1 Fels-Naptha soap bar OR 2 Ivory soap bars OR natural soap of your choice
- ½ cup washing soda
- ¼ cup Borax 1 tablespoon of your favorite essential oil. (We love lavender, spearmint, tea tree, etc... the possibilities are endless!)
Container: Empty 5 gallon bucket
DIY:
- Grate bar of soap and add to saucepan filled with water. Stir continually over medium-low heat until soap dissolves and is melted.
- Remove from heat and add washing soda and borax. The mixture will get thick.
- Pour into a 5 gallon bucket. Continually fill your saucepan with hot water and pour into the 5 gallon bucket. When 3/4 of the way full, add 1 tablespoon of your favorite essential oil, fill to the top with water. Remember to stir a little between adding water.
- Place lid on bucket and allow to sit overnight. It will gel.
To Use: Add 1/2 cup per load. Works well in HE or traditional machines.
Ready Cleaning Wipes
Ingredients:
- 1C water
- 1oz liquid castile soap
- 6-8 drops of your favorite essential oil or blend
- several dish rags*
Container: Empty 1 quart glass container (ex: wide mouth mason jar)
DIY: In your container, combine all ingredients and mix well.
To Use: As an alternative to using paper towels, store multiple dish rags filled with this mixture. The rags can be washed and returned to the jar for reuse. Keep jar tightly sealed between uses.
*Rags can be made from old tee shirts or just plain squares of cotton cloth.
Sink Scouring Powder
Ingredients:
- ¼ cup washing soda
- ¼ cup baking soda
- 8 drops rosemary, eucalyptus or tea tree essential oil
- ¾ cup vinegar for rinsing
Container: Empty 1 cup airtight container
DIY:
- Combine washing soda, baking soda and essential oil in container
- Shake well to blend
To Use: Sprinkle a small amount into the sink and scrub with a damp sponge. Rinse the sink with vinegar, then with hot water.
*For stubborn stains, allow this formula to rest on the stain for several minutes, then scrub and rinse with vinegar and hot water.

After Sun Soothing Spray
Ingredients:
- ¼ cup aloe vera juice
- ½ cup + 3 Tbsp distilled water
- 1 Tbsp fractionated coconut oil
- 8 drops lavender essential oil
- 8 drops peppermint essential oil
Container: Empty 8oz glass spray bottle
DIY: Combine all ingredients. Shake well before using.
To Use: Spray on skin after sun exposure.
Air Freshener
- 10-12 drops of clove oil
- 8 oz of water

DIY: Combine all ingredients. Shake well before using.
Insect Repellent Spray #1
Ingredients:
- 1 oz distilled water
- 6-8 drops Lemon Eucalyptus or Citronella essential oil
- 1 tsp fractionated coconut oil
Container: Empty 1oz glass spray bottle
DIY: Combine all ingredients. Shake well before using.
Insect Repellent Spray #2

- 5 drops Cleanse oil blend

Poo-pouri Spray
Ingredients:
- 2 oz water
- 10 drops Orange
- 10 drops Lemon
Container: Empty 2oz glass spray bottle
DIY: Combine all ingredients. Shake well before using.
To Use: Shake bottle and spray 4 or 5 times into toilet before using. The oils float on the top and wrap around any "deposits", eliminating the smell. The toilet is always sparkly fresh!
